Support the Hempfield basketball teams by signing up for their golf tournament scheduled for Friday, August 7, at Crossgates Golf Course. The event begins at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. Farmdale students, families, faculty & staff are invited to join us for our Fun on the Soccer Field events! We will host two dates this summer. Please see details below.
What: Fun games and free popsicles, compliments of the FPA!
When: Wednesday, July 15th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Wednesday, August 12th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Where: Farmdale’s soccer field adjacent to the parking lot
All are welcome! If it rains, these events will not be held.
The reason that we are holding these events on the soccer field is because the district is updating all school playgrounds this summer. Please note that Farmdale’s playground is currently closed for repairing and updating.

All elementary HSD students are invited to visit the new Black Knight Bookmobile this summer! Thanks to a grant from the Hempfield Foundation, students can receive a new book, enjoy storytime, and spend time with friends.
- Mark your calendars: July 6, 13, 20 & 27
- 9–10 a.m. — Amos Herr Park Pavilion
- 11 a.m.–12 p.m. — Mountville Elementary School Pavilion
An adult or guardian must accompany all students. We hope to see you there!

We're hiring for a variety of positions, including food service workers, paraprofessionals, custodians, aides, substitute teachers, and more.

The Mountville Youth Athletic Association has been providing youth athletic programs since 1983. We’re proud to offer historic baseball fields—many with field lights and concessions—along with a rich tradition of developing players who go on to compete for Hempfield High School and beyond. Our program provides a great atmosphere for kids to learn, grow, and make friends.
Any child who lives in Hempfield School District is eligible to enroll. We look forward to another great season!
