Did you know that your school is a Title I school? That means we receive extra federal funding — because of the hard work our families and community put in every day — to provide additional learning support for our students. We use these funds to bring Reading Specialists and Coaches into our classrooms to give every child the boost they need to succeed.

Hello Farmdale Families!

Summer is almost here and we’re wrapping things up at school for these last couple of days. We have some final notes and reminders for you.

Please remember that full-day students have an early 1:30 PM dismissal on Thursday, May 28 and an early 1:00 PM dismissal on Friday, May 29. AM/PM kindergarten students will have the following modified schedule:

Thurs. May 28:

–AM Session 9:00 AM-10:50 AM

–PM Session 11:40 AM- 1:30 PM

Fri. May 29: 

–AM Session 9:00 AM-10:40 AM

–PM Session 11:20 AM- 1:00 PM

We still have a lot of jackets and other miscellaneous items in our lost and found. Please ask your child to check before the last day of school (May 29). Parents, you are welcome to stop in during the school day, and office staff can escort you to the lost & found area to search. Items still left on the last day of school will be donated or discarded.

There are still yearbooks available! The cost is $13 and payment is accepted via CHECK ONLY written to Hempfield School District. You can send the payment in with your student and ask them to purchase a yearbook in the office. Adults could also stop into the office to purchase one during the school day between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:15 PM.

If you will be moving out of the Hempfield School District area and your child will not be attending Farmdale for the 26/27 school year, please fill out a withdrawal form as soon as possible. If you need a copy of this form, please email fes_attendance@hempfieldsd.org and we’ll be happy to assist you.

This is a reminder to parents/guardians of current 6th-grade students regarding immunization requirements for 7th grade. This information is sent out early so the required immunizations can be scheduled at your child’s next wellness visit. For 7th-grade attendance, students will need 1 dose of tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis (Tdap) and 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate (MCV) prior to the first day of their 7th-grade year.
